today is day filled with so much ups and downs. had soccer mcg yesterday in the rain, which wasnt the wisest thing to do since i had to perform today. but then again u cant just cancel a mcg or pon it! i mean so many pre-believers would be there anyway. yup okay so after playing soccer in the rain for like a few hours, it kinda made my blocked nose, even more block. like making the flu worse. but didnt regret it one bit. had like valuable time to spend with many of the peeps. and thank God for alvin who went down to the drain to retrieve the ball, long story lah.

and the medicine i've been taking arent seem to be working.. even the antibiotics..

okay so last night i was praying for like today's service to be a success and stuff. and like for everyone performing today to be like in good health and stuff. no guitar string break or wadeva. then was praying for God to like clear my nose before service starts. then i thought like why not just ask God to settle it when i wake up in the morning!! and i was like telling Him i promised to share His miraculous healing if He would heal me by morning.. haha! okay so i woke up at 2am, still flu, 4am, partial flu, then when i woke up at 7.15am.. i can breath with my nose again!!! wah felt awesome. haha yes and i kept my promise, reached nexus at 8.30am and then shared with kaiwen and weilun about how i was healed.

okay yup basically we performed Five Colours in Her Hair by McFly. sound check was fun, but everyone was like still rather tired and stuff having wake up so early.

and like 5 mins before first service kaiwen pointed out to me this CRACK on my sexy white flying v. wah i tell u i felt like dying. its a CRACK not a scratch. and the only way to replace it is, change the whole body, which means, buy a new guitar. it was like! $400+ gone!!

but things seemed to have headed in a downward direction during first service, like the sound going off and stuff. before we went up they told us we didnt have the interview clip, so we had to like get our cables connected and start like almost immediately to reduce the awkwardness. then it was our turn!

haha and halfway through the performance i wondered why matthias came to use my mic instead of just standing at his own position and use his, like he trying to do some showmanship stun issit. then his guitar cable was like being stretched ard his own mic stand it almost fell lah! then okay when the bridge came, i realised that something was quite wrong. the song sound way too empty. and when i slide the high G to the low G suddenly my guitar went off too.. and the horror unfolded. i literally slide the note to nothingness.. the sound went off on my guitar too. i was like wacking power chords and notes and felt so, weird. then i realised why matthias came to sing into my mic, and why the song sounded so empty.. everyone was liked muted. weilun's bass was muted halfway through. THEN, that matthias can laugh. wah gosh lol i was so freaked out and he could laugh! apparently he knew that his stuff had no sound and maybe mine was coming.

okay then in that moment, i saw katarina running up the stage to give matthias flowers.. i was like !!!??? haha joke joke! apparently God used her 'negligence', if i may, to like buy us more time. she thought the song ended lah. then ian came up on stage and tried to solve the problem. but it wasnt the wire problem, so cant be helped. i think that whole 10 seconds seemed so planned.. then weilun started freaking out when he stared at me and told me his bass had no sound. a sense of nostalgia from metamorphosis kicked in. i stared blankly at him and told him to pretend while i played the guitar solo. then THANK GOD my guitar came back on and we continued to finish the song. with one mic, one guitar, and the drums.

okay lah basically i was quite nerve wrecking. cause i couldnt hear matt's guitar, which was supposed to be playing full chords, i was like lingering ard trying to find the key, and i like kinda made myself sound like i was pushing out the sound so it kinda blends in in being off tune, if u get what i mean.

BUT u know what. seriously i thought that the whole thing was very divine. despite everything the service atmosphere wasnt affected that badly and there were many converts. and like how kat had to give the flowers at the wrong time, to draw attention away and buy time. and how my guitar had to go off just at the moment when i slide the note. u know any other moment my guitar were to go off. i just be stunned. its like just drums and me singing. i wont know how to continue lah. and all that made it seem like the screw up was planned. haha. esp when matt laughed. oh well.

okay second service was much better. when i plugged in the guitar cable at the start, and just like turned up the volume on the guitar to see if there was sound. just touch the strings alr so loud!! haha awesome. i think the sound mixing was very well done, sounded alot like the track itself. loud and impactful. and we were stress free. i was like haha cause it was like, the worse had happened and the best is yet to be. i think we really gave our best for second service. haha although matt almost tripped over my guitar cable causing my whole guitar to jerk downwards. haha but its okay lah. no harm done. and i forgot that matt was supposed to sing into my mic, and was quite stunned when i saw him so close to me haha. okay fine. i have to admit. it was SUPER fun. really what performing such stuff was about, having fun.

and i thought i lost my adapter till sherman just told me that yongle took it by accident.

okay i still cant get over that crack on my guitar.. and.. i think in a rush out to MCG yesterday after i prac abit of the song i slammed my hi-fi set abit too hard. now its spoilt too..

and my guitar!!! wwaaaahhhhh... worse part is i duno when it's hit or how it happened.

many many converts today.
