and after all that practice.. it was just so hilarious on stage yesterday!!

the day started off with matthias smsing me that dreaded sms "jialat. ethan say just imagine the last string not there." !!!! i couldnt believe it!!! just last night at 12am i had that weird feeling that we are not gonna be able to get a 4-string bass, so i smsed kaiwen and he just said, "pray la". haha apparently i forgot all about it, and wahla! next thing u know, it came true!! ah neva take a warning from God lightly man! ethan was indeed using his 5-string bass guitar that day. okay so after an hour or so panicking.. huiying saved the day by calling daryl to bring down his 4-string bass, deliberately making the detour from the bus-stop back to his house to get it.

we started off with spongebob theme song. haha oh man crazy bunch of people in the audience, screaming their lungs out to spongebob! and when the song ended it finally came down to me doing the intro for our performance at metamorphosis. and it isnt really a north-east band since shane's from north and rayson's from central. and just when i was done with "..let's do it!" i turned around to see kaiwen on the the other end of the stage looking real stress back at me and shaking his head. AND it then dawned on me that... his guitar wasn't able to produce any sound!! okay so we waited quite abit, and i kinda thought to myself the idea the smooth starting was kinda gone. but the wait just seemed to grow and extend as we're trying to figure out how come the guitar couldnt start even though it was working perfectly fine just bout 10 mins ago.

so i started entertaining the audience with, "tell your neighbour.. you look great today." haha. and how fun it is to see all of them do as i said. haha. then matt started to kill the ice and buy time by doing some knock knock joke with me on stage. what yong tau who? yong tau fu!!! i didnt get the joke till like 3 hrs after the performance when we were reviewing it lah.

haha oh well. what exactly happened was ian took away the distrotion peddle and unplugged kaiwen's guitar to practice for meta concert later on in the day, forgetting that kaiwen's gonna need it to perform in like 5 mins later. oh well cant really blame anyone.

and it was real fun on stage, and my 6 days bass career finally paid off! personally i think that we did an awesome job, even though it was definitely better during our jamming sessions. oh well. we all learn and grow through experience amen!?

the scariest thing was.. shane was playing behind the drum screen, and he aint know how to use the headphones!! so u was like playing while barely hearing us. wah its a one nerve-wrecking job to do man.

met zhuwen the non-believer from yjc. who came down for metamorphosis concert mainly cause he wanted to join a band as a drummer. yeah great guy nice to meet him. haha interesting fellow lah. boy i hope u experience the love of Christ with us one day!! yeah making music is fun, but seriously, making and doing music for the Lord, is really fulfilling.

i was really tired by the time metamorphosis concert started. and i was really touched by God's presence. so simple, yet so profound. so tangible, so heart-warming. child-like faith yeah. child-like faith. it seems like God knows how to move in a whole near way each time we worship Him. haha yeah ah you Christians know what i mean lah.

so indescribable.

woke up early this morning to go down to nexus to help uncle desmond with spring cleaning of the church. thank God for luke who volunteered to come down with me to help out after much persuasion. haha. we cleared and rearranged the whole storeroom at america room, and then proceeded to polish the holy com trays. wah it was definitely tiring! and desmond kindly treated us to kfc lunch! hey its not cheap treating about 9 of us okay. thank you uncle desmond!!

then luke and i went down to bishan library to study. met melcher, davin, jason, and michael alim there. oh met the SR J2s there too. studied for bout an hour and half before i left for home to pick up my sis.

yes for the first time in my whole entire life i was gonna bring my sis out all by mrself! haha amen. officially the big brother! my church had this zoohunt thingy organised for children aged 7-12. so my sis is 8 haha so yeah why not.

rushed my sis down to the bus-stop to wait for the cab that kaiwen and his bro was taking. haha my sis is like so girl lah, take such a long time to get ready. together kaiwen me, his bro and my sis cabbed down to nexus. yeah oh i forgot to mention his bro's same age as my sis! cool eh.

went down, and registered my sis up for the event. met yuqian there too with her two cousins and her aunt or mom i cant recall. haha then we went it. it was really fun lah. all those noisy kids and stuff. haha and the jokes we were really funny cause it was so childish!! and like how u score pts in the form of bananas! no joke! haha super hilarious when they get a real small small kid to complete with the bigger kid, like 7 yrs old against a 12 yr old. haha. it was real funny lah. OH and they had awesome praise! i didnt know hope kids united does King of Majesty! and their praise is so action-packed and dancey! was telling my sis it was Hi-Five in Singapore. yeah pity she's smart enough not to believe me. oh and i cant believe kaiwen's bro won some prize just through registration form. haha not unbiblical Lucky Draw but Blessing Dip!!
