Pacific Sun, you should have warned us, it gets so cold here.
And the night can freeze, before you set it on fire.
And our flares go unnoticed.
Diminished, faded just as soon as they are fired.
Oh, how we've shouted, how we've screamed,
take notice, take interest,
take me with you.
But all our fears fall on deaf ears.
I'm dying to live

was really tired after music prac last night which ended at around 11pm. been a long day, and a long week i guess. and boy is town filled with couples at night. as in those couples who go clubbing and one night stands and stuff. i was in the lift lah and i saw how those two peeps were like.. gosh forget it.
so i sang on stage today for service. wah all that practices, i think about 5 hrs in total!! totally took my voice away. but okay lah. haha was real nervous for first service i guess. and i kinda was reserved and stuff. haha pressure man! u know on stage the lights shine on you such that u can hardly see the people. haha oh well. after evaluation, and how qianjin told me to treat the audience as vegetables and broccoli, and that we are ultimately doing it for the audience of one. and yeah its so true. so i guess second service was better for me. well it was fun lah!
and the rest were nice enough in giving me all the encouragements and all. qianjin gave me some honey lemon juice and shuzhen gave me twinkles attached with a card. haha nice of them.
OH and while waiting for PCLM i was sitting on the hope kids chair in europe room.. and guess what... I BROKE IT!!!! wah i literally fell off the chair. and was kinda stunned for a moment. haha maluating lah. AHH!!..
watched a video by bill hybels today for PCLM. wah eh he's a really powerful speaker. its like, when he shares u can literally feel the conviction he has for God and hear his heartbeat on his emphasis for commitment to local church. i learnt
alot from that video man, which was 60mins but it seemed like just 6 mins!! wah if i can like just teach half as good as him, the impact of the teaching can be like. wow.
oh and gwen kinda told us that we are performing without redemption for metamorphosis. so u see, its like 10 days away. its gotta be Christian alternative, new-believer friendly, and engage the crowd.. NO WAIT!! our drummer is involved in council, and our bassist has As to prepare for!!! wah stress stress. okay we just chose the song, aint know if its practical yet.
okay okay. how u doing out there! promos and As are coming man. haha mugging period gonna start!

friday seemed to mark another chapter in my life. went down to the airport to send sumahdi off after school, and this time, it was really gonna be the
last time. went down to serangoon and met davin kokwee and tahyuen on the bus.
finally arrived at the airport. met sumahdi and the rest there. it seemed like i had so much to tell him yet so little to say. i guess we went through really alot. yeah i think he's the first guy i talked to in class from sec 3. and how we used to just talk and talk and crap the whole whole day, week, month, year, 2 years away. haha. and how we used to write notes and pass to the class behind us through the divider door. i remember the times we used to get punished for doing stupid things like playing soccer in class. and all the times we took a bus from school to melcher's house, then a bus to paya lebar mrt station to have lunch, before taking the train to tanah merah mrt, and then taking a bus for tuition.
and all those times we spend talking more crap at tuition and not studying, running off to the coffeeshop to watch soccer, and fall into the temptation by going to play streetsoccer at the cc at bedok and return all sticky and sweaty, and then talking more rubbish and leaving finally at 11pm. haha those were the days man.
OH AND HOW he was the very guy i outreached and shared Christ with the MOST i ever did for any other person on earth. i think i talked for like more than 24 hrs in total about the goodness of Christ to him. oh well. come to know him one day okay bro.
4 years is a very long time lah boy!!!
please come back sooner!!
till then.

oh before i forget, a couple of us went down for UltraViolet Planet Shakers concert on saturday, which like another bunch went on friday. i would say its nice meeting planetshakers again after one year, and they do have an impressive bunch of musicians who are all so very talented.
yeah but i guess that was about it. honestly speaking i felt that the spiritual atmosphere that night wasnt there. it seemed like it was just like a concert, and from what nicholas told me it seemed like "spiritual clubbing", he coined. haha like yeah. oh well. but was definitely awed and taken aback by the level of talent of Planet Shakers!
and i met many people there!
i met the lync people!! apparently like more than half of them were from my old church, St Andrews Cathedral. met people like sherman, gabriel, daphne, that fella who i met with elena at sweelee sale whom i still find very familiar, and lots of others. haha real nice to meet all of them i guess, about probably about.. almost 2 years? met exclassmate Julia there too, and present classmate Charlene and her cellgroup, of whom Joel Yu's sister is their cell leader! haha oh wow. small world.
stayed over at rayson's place on sat night, and after talking the night away finally slept at 3.30am.
and that marks the start of my sleeping coma. slept at 3.30am and woke up at 10am, and realised i was down with a bad case of flu,
again. went home and slept from 11am to 5pm, got up with a spliting headache to have lunch and went back to bed and slept till 11pm when i woke up for dinner. oh man. felt super lousy lah. okay and so i went back to bed after that.
TODAY. seems like i suffered from the effects of oversleeping. was still having that bad headache this morning and contemplated to skip sch. but cannot lah. had that GP thingy to present to the class.
AY finally shepherd kenneth today. haha honestly i was super tired but it was definitely worth it lah. enjoyed my time with him, and glad to share to him quite abit. ah its a joy to serve lah, seriously.
so what's next!? whole week's packed already.. again!! hope to meet Chris this wed.

11:50 PM
shall talk about thursday and today.
gosh im so tired i feel like sleeping through the week, hopefully sleep through promos man.
had soccer match yesterday against NYJC. and guess what!? Lo and behold i met the sa soccer guys there at boon keng. wah its like oh gosh. lol what coincidence. they had just ended their training and we were gonna use the field next.
played them to a draw. guess we were all super demoralised at the second half. and we ended the match and took some penalty kicks. apparently i shant mention that. haha.
THEN, rushed down to serangoon for CG. prepared worship with matt and yeah so cg.
then rushed home in an attempt to study for econs H1 test today, and realised that i lost my chapter 1.1 demand and supply notes... so minqi kindly crashcoursed me over msn. haha gotta thank her i guess. like everything she taught came out. okay wait!! i shall get to the paper.
OKAY. so we had econs paper today. OH MY GOODNESS. u know what!?? i didnt have time to finish the paper even though i rushed and rushed my fingers out. and when the teacher finally collected my script, i was like halfway through my last part of the last question. so i turned around and asked kahfai if he had to time to finish it. then he seeming all relaxed he asked me, "so which question did you do?"
the enlightment of only needing to do
one question for essay totally hit home.
i cant believe i did both questions.... oh man i was super dumb lah!! wad nonsense. i totally wasted the 23 mins i had. i could have used it to write a better essay which is more indept lah. i rushed and didnt read the instructions, and i thought that we had to do both!!! aaahhh!! as a result i skipped the last part of the case study question, and wrote a real brief essay. ah man. i suck.
okay then we down to gideon's house after school, and apparently he told me he needed a guitarist for prayermeet for northeast. wah so i guess i was available. lots of screw ups i guess as it was rather rush, and i have no idea why the guitar i used couldnt produce a sound more than a wimper. i strummed so hard i felt the whole guitar vibrate, but it was still so soft!! had to up the atmosphere man. and i mistook gideon's cue for upkey and almost screwed up the second song cause he gave the signal SUPER last second. haha. like my last two fingers were back on the G chord and my index and middle finger were on its way and then he gave me the signal to upkey to A. haha oh well. we all learn lah.
and yihui enlightened me that those 7-8 bite marks on my legs, mainly on my right leg, was that of sandflies. it was like during that time we had our new believers district MCG after service like 2 or 3 weeks back. and out of all those bites, at least 4 of them are now infected due to me scratching them the whole night. its like super itchy it wakes u up of your sleep. i had to go to the toilet to wash my bites lah. okay like pus comes out of those infected wounds now. yuck man. killer flies.
then rushed down to nexus for praise and worship prac, and ended around 10.40pm.
and then im blogging this and now im gonna bathe.

AAAAHHH!!! AWESOMENESS!!!MY BRO JUST ASKED ME TO LEND HIM CHRISTIAN CDs.AH GLADLY BRO!LORD SOFTEN HIS HEART. :)
10:15 PM
"get ready for the end of your sanity." haha. that's what yonghui coined our feelings going back to that childcare center at first toapayoh primary school on national day eve. but strangely, it felt kinda nice and nostalgic to see all those little kids again. all the guys were incharged of games this time, and we all sorta pushed back preparing for it and finally decided to slack and do it impromptu. haha oh man. i guess we could do it lah, since there were a fair number of Christians among us and had an arsenal of CG games at the disposal. but got to think bout the audience!! bunch of rowdy kids!!
i met familar faces. the ever so mischievous Jerry who just just
cant stay still for more than 1 second. oh man he crawls, jumps, flying kicks all over the place. and Bryan who sort of became my buddy for the day who i felt that was much more responsive that day. still a little shy though. and all those kids whose name i cant remember. haha. oh man they kept pulling my tie, it became so so much longer. and do they climb over ME! wah its like wrestling with those kids. haha it was fun lah. i just cant understand how trying to crawl between my legs and catching me unaware is so fun. haha and all those kids wants to get picked for dedicated roles of the games. oh and jacob wasnt there, and the kids remembered that i was jacob's buddy! haha oh man. i guess he had to go back early or something.
then in an attempt to keep all those kids under control and quiet(before we started the Simon Says rule), i overheard this boy tell another to keep quiet saying, "or else next time they wont come anymore!" with that sad and stern look. ay man. i kinda felt so bad and sad that it would have to been the last time we were mingling with those kids.
we gave our best. at least i knew our class did. haha playing games for 2 whole hours with 24 little children is so energy draining. we kinda played every single game we could think off. and apparently
cat and mouse was the most successful!! haha oh well. class bond together!!
didnt go down to my uncle's and cousin's birthday party after that. was TOO tired.
okay so national day. i was contemplating on my bed whether or not to go down to JB, Malaysia with my mom and sis for some shopping trip. yes there would be a jam since its a public holiday, but i needed to get my shoes desperately as i broke my old pair.. and i guess its been a while since i last went out with my mom and sis. so after much time wasting we finally went down that long long train and bus journey down to the causeway, saw the jam, and walked through the bridge and customs and then finally walked to the shopping complex in JB which i forgot the name.
oh yeah. something happened at the malaysia customs. we were queueing up admist this huge crowd of singaporeans. i hate to say it but foreign passport holders somehow gets a much faster queue, and malaysian passport holders just walk through.. and singapore passport holders wait for hours. oh well. met this old uncle infront of us, who went on telling us about how long the queue is gonna take, and how people would cut in the queue and how he was so mad at it and stuff. he tells us how it was like at the customs in the past and all. okay u see, the queue was so long that from the back it appears that for 4 counters, there was like 8 queues.. so basically for our counter we were queueing up for, two lanes merged into one. this is not including the people who cut in. so when we were finally at the counter after bout an hour. two lanes merged into one. and people werent letting the other lane merge into their lane and vice versa. so the aunty at the side accused my mom of cutting queue. but after some explaination it was over. okay then the uncle infront of us, put his hand against the counter, to block off the other lane from cutting in. in doing so, he cut off this malay man from his family and children. the man then asked him to give way and all, but the uncle didnt give in. so there was this big commotion and all. and then the malay man went to carry his kid OVER the uncles hand(just to spite the uncle), and went on arguing with the uncle. and blah blah blah, everyone was very aggitated feeling all warm and sticky and impatient. i guess it all contributed to that dispute. basically i felt that the uncle was in a wrong. dont cut off a dad from his kids man, and then accuse and scold the dad. both lanes had been queueing for an hour. both lanes deserved the right to be in that queue.
so finally it all ended with that malay guy hurling some vulgarites and hand action and the uncle and he went on with his family. then his other malay guy from the back shouted something that went "queue up only. dont need fight right. stupid lah
you all." okay. i sorta felt it was kind of a bad racist comment here. but maybe he was just refering to us as the bunch of people. oh wadeva it is. that guy has no right to say anything lah.
so went on a full day shopping spere. am super tired and broke lah. okay bought my first pair of nike shoes in my life. and not one pair, but two pairs of nike dunks!! haha alright man. and was like getting the guy to show me how he ties the shoelaces so awesomely.
okay im finally back in singapore. gonna go to matthias' house to stay over with kaiwen and him. gonna jam man! haha. playing nyjc soccer team tml at st wilfrid at 1pm tml with the zhonghua soccer gang. AND then go for CG at 4pm.
OH!!!
H1 COMMON TEST ON FRIDAY.

11:50 PM
kaiwen called me back and told me he saw Calvin today. Calvin, as in my first shepherd. kaiwen said he wasnt doing as well and stuff. yeah he kinda backslided a while ago. i wanted to meet him. been such a long time since i last saw him. anyway i went down to J8 to meet the rest.
AND i did meet Calvin. i saw him with his friends. i think he was rather stunned to see me. and even from that smile u can see the communication barrier. its like when u see an old friend u expect each other to catch up and talk alot. but it was just a meak smile i guess.
i waved back and walked pass him.
and said, "Bye, my first shepherd.."
ay man.
10:55 PM
so i went down to Festival of Praise 2006 after school on friday. met melcher and his ac friend along the way, and we made our way to queue to enter. i must say the queue is rather short compared to last year's. had rather good seats, despite the massively unreasonable reserving of seats by some people. like how can u reserve 40 seats and take up two rows. oh well. met many other people at FOP too. heard the whole TYAM came down too.
anyway Christian City Church (CCC) came down and started off the event. i must say they are good lah, able to control the spiritual atmosphere. and then we had Don Moen, who played the more traditional praise and worship music. no doubt he's a good worship leader, just that his music he choose we abit too towards the adult side. but like what qian jin said, i guess its the job of a worship leader to appeal towards the church as a whole and not just to the youths. guess we are all too used to the new age praise and worship music.
ay so sat is church day and sunday is slack day.

11:26 PM
and as though to mock me, the coach called me up last night and asked if i was free to go down for the balestia training today, as he needed 20 ppl and the press would be going down with cameras and all to video the S League players training us. i couldnt possibly tell him im not as im going for volleyball trials. haha he did blow his head. so i agreed to go down.
and we had the training today, it was some kind of H20 drink filming on how it can hydrate the body. and they had all the cameras and all.
ay it felt so weird, training knowing that i had already decided to quit the team since i cant commit so many days. 6 days a week. erm yeah.
oh well.
don't it feel like sunshine after all.
12:19 AM
LORD,
LET MY LIFESONG SING TO YOU!!!
convict me. convict me once more.
