today's service was SUPERB!!!!!!! the sermon was especially good. the speaker was Pastor Prakish from Hope Norway. ah u know how priviledge we are to have him today!! he's the fellow who is the coordinator for the WHOLE Hope Europe movement!!

the sermon was very wonderful lah. he doesnt use such bombastic words or deep stuff. but its the passion and spirit that he brings with him. wow man. haha im sure all of you got blown away by today's sermon okay. then after that the worship song made so much sense i just felt like going home and start praying till next morning.

since im being such a nice person. i'll just give u a brief outline of today's sermon.



Heroic Faith (Hebrews 11:13-16)

1) Confident Faith (v 13a)

Don't believe in circumstances, believe in God. which applies to especially my chemistry Os in like this friday.

To have faith is to believe totally. Because we do not see, we have to exercise faith.

Hebrews 11: 1

Let's look at biblical Abraham for example.

Genesis 12: 2-3
Genesis 15: 5-6

Abraham decided to believe in God not himself. And guess wad? God gave him, a 75 year all man, and his barren wife, a child.

And in Hebrews 11: 12, God gave Abraham decendants that were as numerous as the stars in the sky.

Today there are at least 30 million Jewish people around the world, the offspring of Jacob(Abraham's grandson).
There are around 1.3 billion muslims around the world today, the offspring of Ishmael(Abraham's and Hagar's son).
There are 2 billion Christians around the world, the offspring of Abraham.

So, more the half of the world consider themselves as the children of Abraham!!


2) Perservering Faith (v 13b)

God did not tell Abraham where he should go, but instead God led him step by step. For Abraham a 75 year old man, to leave a comfort life and put faith in God, not knowing what was going to happen, to pass through a desert. that was faith. what about you?

Genesis 12: 4-5

To be a Christian, God demands something from you!

Don't be a lukewarm Christian, take up God's call for our lives.

Many had paid a high price to follow God.
Moses, abondoned being the price of Egypt. (Hebrews 11:25)
Paul had been persecuted so many times. (Philippians 2:17)

None of us likes to be mistreated, but we are willing to sacrifice comfort to see the value of something.

Colossians 1: 28-29

Though it may seem difficult, God would be with you. (okay this really applys to me esp during Os..)

It is not easy, but we are priviledged to be blessed by God. Because by faith, we see victory.


3) Active Faith (v 14)

We have to do something for God, step out of our comfort zone.

People of faith aren't lazy, they work hard.

God can use you, dare to dream big for God.

Philippians 3:12



4) Firm Faith (v 15)

They chose not to go back.

Have firm and rooted faith. Stand firm with faith. Stand firm in what you believe.

Do not turn back. I find this point especially applicable coz many of us do feel discouraged at certain point of time in our lives whether we like it or not. it is especially important that we do pull through this period of time, with faith.

Luke 9: 62



5) Valuing Faith (v 16a)

Abraham had no absolute idea of what the land was going to be like.

They saw the value of vision. If we see this value, we would not quit, we would persevere.

Hebrews 11: 24-26

Moses chose to see the value of God's call.

Philippians 3: 7-8

Use whatever we have, for God's kingdom, and "for Your will be done."


Results of Heroic Faith

1 ) God is pleased. (v 16b)

To have faith in God is to honour Him.


2) God grants what one believes (v 16b)

The answer we want, is in God's timing. God certainly answers, but it is in His own timing.

It's either a yes, a no, or a not yet.

Faith sees the invicible, believes the incredible, and receives the impossible.

Continue our walk with faith, and our journey would certainly end in faith.


AHH so power right. okay this is like a very brief summary lah. oh well. so had DMM after service and CG evaluation. all in all ended like around 10pm. but it's all and totally worth it okay. i dont care whether i have like O's on tuesday, God's call for me certainly is of first piority. haha okay lah, say untill so erm.. wadeva man. yeah but its really true okay. nothing beats giving God your best. so, Study for Him!!
