firstly, Happy Birthday Sunny!!
well it was Cityteens last service today. they are gonna combine with the other youth services to form one big group called LYNK, if i got the name correct. in case you all have no idea wads Cityteens, its the youth service of St Andrews Cathedral, where i went before Y-Hope. was their last service today so erm, went with Melcher.
good to see everyone again, though there were many new faces for me. haha. and saw shermon on the drums. kenneth is just the same man, same old joker. haha. it was sorta nice and strange in that sense lah. oh we had 'trading our sorrow' and 'How Great is Our God'. haha same as Y-Hope yesterday's service. then during the song 'trading our sorrow' i almost went to do that hand action that we did yesterday along to the song. haha. then i realised better not.
oh man honestly i feel so disconnected with everyone. like erm, communication barrier!! dont see why everyone's sad bout the merger. hmm.. dont everyone still see each other? duno lah. haha. so much has happened since i last visited 6 months ago. all i can say is, this merger is something which perhaps we could be happy bout? its for the kingdom of God, and im sure St Andrews Cathedral youth's service would grow from glory to glory, and produce strong and biblical people who would lead the church someday. haha. sounds so pastor man coming from me.
the sermon was by melvin. taught about how to cope with unanswered prayer. heard that teaching before lah, but it was still nice to hear it from someone new. and didnt know bout that 3 types of prayer thingy.
then they had the 'Cityteens Goodbye song'. it's very well written lah. haha but i think if they changed the name to 'Goodbye Cityteens' it would sound more professional. then watched some video clip about CT. kenneth looked so puny when he was young man. haha. OH! and guess who i saw on the video clip? that girl from tuition! melcher told me he saw her during morning service but didnt know she went to CT too?
then testimonies. interesting to hear how CT has changed so many of their lives. didn't wanna go up to share for erm, certain reasons. also i kinda felt compelled not to go. okay i really have no idea why. but when Linette shared bout how she reflected on her way with God after she talked to me the other day on msn, i was quite shocked lah. guess it's the power of God. hmm..
well on my way back on the train i saw this philippino women reading an article entitled, "What Does Jesus Say About Judgement Day." i really wanted to go up and go talking and talking and talking bout Christ to her. but then she might just thing im crazy. haha. then the whole time through 'Consuming Fire' kept ringing in my head.
went over to my aunt's place to erm, celebrate my birthday in advance. checked out their new place. like wow. so nice. they had this whole book shelf filled with Christian books. and the Venation culture and many drawings of Jesus Christ. even a Christian book on stamps. was kinda overwhelmed. then my uncle prayed and said grace in mandarin. very cool man, even though i took quite sometime to figure out wad those two words he used meant, and figured it most probably meant 'grace'. well maybe one day i will get him to teach me how to pray PROPERLY in mandarin.
"You lived to die. For me."
