and so, after that talk by TJC, everyone seems to be wanting to go there now. Apart from the fact that its all the way down at bedok, but only till that moment when everyone realised it took 8 points to get in.
basically today is erm, alot about releasing the Prelim results. Mrs Tobias said she wanted to give us english time practice, and managed to silence our protests with, "when u see your results you will know why." and Miss Ten added during the talk that some of us had atrocious gramma mistakes. i figured that would most probably be me, coz i sorta wrote the whole essay outta point and wrote the whole narrative in present tense.
Mrs Koh returned our Amath prelims today. i was shocked i would say, not that i did badly, but i was rather amazed that i managed to pull off a B3. but upon checking my script, careless mistakes cost me the A1!!! well okay lah, by God's grace i had a B3. i really thought i was gonna get a C6, esp after Amath paper 1.
Mrs Wong shared with us her Bangalore experience. and erm, she bought some exotic indian sweets for us that we couldn't figure out it was. it's like eating ginger, chili, with sugar on top. it's nice lah at first, opens up your throat, but then after like 4 or so it started to taste too gingery. but at least we gotta eat stuff from india. haha.
then Mrs Ngiam returned to us the physics prelims. i am not satisfied lah. i studied during the holidays, nothing but physics, and a little Emath. i had a B3, and not many careless mistakes, so the only hopes of getting the A1 is through moderation. oh man. i thought i would get at least an A2 for this paper lah.
i am like 99.9% sure i failed my chemistry prelims, esp since Miss Ong told Jason that 5 people failed in our class. i mean, im the lowest in class for Chemistry, like duh!! besides, i didnt manage to study for Chemistry, coz i was totally drained after studying for Biology. and when they asked how can i separate a mixture of protein, i said, use
substrate specific enzymes. okay which is obviously wrong, firstly since its bio not chem, and the enzymes would have broken down the protein..
oh okay. here's something funny. guess where's our prom night gonna most likely be held? nah, not some funky hotel, nor issit at some country club, it's at....
Braddell Heights Community Center!!! haha okay you can stop laughing now. goodness me, i neva thought the place we always used to patronise for soccer matches would be the venue for prom night. haha.
oh just watched a documentary on Alexandra the Great. it's very nice lah, and he's such a brillant tactician. i tell ya his war tactics are so funky and cool, yet brillant, no wonder he managed to conquer the whole known world back in his era. okok, back to singapore.
O levels are coming so soon man. and only our class has 3 weeks study break. haha. duno why also, heard from other classes that they said that our studies were better so we could have a 3 week study break. its not exactly true lah. at least for me.
cheer up those who didnt do as well as expected. im sure God has a bigger plan for you. oh as martin puts it, maybe God thinks we deserve the 6 month rest? anyway you look at it, dont be discouraged coz of the results and let it affect ya O's. okay, sounds weird coming from someone like me. but there's so much more to life than good grades, there's the best relationship out there avaliable to each and everyone of us. a relationship with God. take it from me, when u found the peace and love Christ has to offer, such grades are just so, superficial.
